Light Your Way - A Guide To Outdoor Lighting

When planning to embark on any type of adventure, one should always make sure that they are prepared to light the way.  Each journey calls for a different piece of lighting gear whether it be a flashlight, a headlamp, or a lantern and we can help you identify which one is best for your next trip! While identifying which piece of lighting gear is best for you, you must factor in important questions such as:

  • How long will you need your light for?

  • Will you be there one night or multiple?

  • Do you need a hands-free option or are you able to carry something with you?

  • Are you prepared in case of an emergency?

  • How long will you need to use your light?

These are all critical questions to ask yourself prior to venturing out so you can make sure you are properly geared up for the journey ahead. Luckily, Trekr Tech has the solution to all of these important pre-adventure questions.

Flashlights (View Collection)

Flashlights now a days come in all different shapes and sizes and allow for easy to use lighting in case of emergency. We recommend flashlights as the best lighting gear product to use in case of emergency because of the easy storage and portability, as well as the long-lasting power/battery that comes within each one.

Headlamps (View Collection)

Headlamps can be an easy and hands free way to lead the way through a dark night. With adjustable straps and capabilities such as automatic light brightness sensors, headlamps were designed to allow for the most functionality and free movement as possible. Headlamps are great for activities such as hiking and climbing, and work great as a tool around the campsite when the sun goes down.  It's always best to pick a model that is at least weather resistant, but there are lots of great options out there for a wide range of uses.

Lanterns (View Collection)

Since the days that lanterns were large hand held lamps with candles in them, lanterns have evolved to into much lighter/smaller and easily portable sources of light. Lanterns offer the largest source of ambient light compared to headlamps and flashlights, but they are typically used more so in situations around basecamp because they are easy to set up and allow for a large area to be illuminated from a single source.
